The customer is a leading provider of web-based, mobile enabled solutions and services in Japan. The customer had an existing Point-of-sale application, through which the sales personnel updated sales data to a central server. This typically occurred at the end of the day. As a result the data available on the server was not concurrent to the sale made. The customer, desired to replace this system with an application that would facilitate real-time updates of sales data to the central server.

EximSoft-Trianz developed a mobile enabled Point-of-Sale application which captures data from the barcode reader, every time a sale is made. The application connects remotely to the central server within the LAN and updates the central server. A 100% J2ME solution, the system handles over 1000 products and more than 300 types of sales data.

Significant benefits to the customer included reduced infrastructure costs and availability of live sales information.
